As you can see  in the sentence above, to form a question with a sentence using verb to be, we just need to move the verb in front of the sentence and add the question mark (?) at the end and then we have a question. e.g.

  • John is a good musician. 
  • Is John a good musician?

Good morning, I am Mary Smith; I am a student at the UBC in Canada.  I was awarded as the best Student in in my University and now, I am in a trip in Mexico City. I am in a beautiful museum, Museo de Antropología; I am learning many things about Mexican culture. The culture of their ancestors was very interesting. I am very happy to be here.

L3 – Negative form of Verb To Be

Lesson 3

To form the negative with verb to be we just need to add “not” in front of the verb. e.g.

  • Laura is not a teacher. 
  • The students are not in the classroom. 
  • The dog is not aggressive. 

On next lesson we will learn the negative form of “to be” with apostrophe.
